Molybdenum Disulfide

Introduction

Molybdenum disulfide is black powder and main content of molybdenite. Its CAS number is 1317-33-5, EINECS number 215-263-9molecular weight 160.07, melting point 1,185℃, density 4.8g/cm3, Mohs hardness 1.0~1.5. It can dissolute in aqua regia and hot concentrated sulfuric acid and it is irritant. The main applications are solid lubricant and catalysts for dehydrogenation of complex hydrocarbons.
