Silicon Carbide
Introduction
Silicon carbide is also named emery, fire-resistant sand and carborundum.
It is a hexagonal crystal with color of yellow to green and blue to black. The density is 3.2~3.25g/cm3. It is widely used to produce fire-resistant material, ceramic, abrasive material, etc.

Production Process
The production processes are combining quartz and coke, adding salt and sawdust, putting in silicon carbide electric furnace, heating to 2000°C and the SiC powder can be made after the chemical processes in the furnace.
